Does your kiddo love to perform? Join Hunter Dance Center this summer for Storybook Dance Theater Camps (ages 5-8)! In these super-fun week-long camps running June 5 through July 28, HDC faculty use dance, music, creative drama, circus arts and crafts to help campers build their own performance that they share with family and friends at the end of the week! Themes include “Where the Wild Things Are,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “The Sword in the Stone,” and more, changing each session so students may participate in multiple camps. Camps are limited to 20 campers a session, so hurry up and register here soon!
For those dancers who want to take their dancing to the next level, Hip Hop Camp, Ballet Camp, and Aerial Silks Camp (ages 9-12) offer the older student a chance to learn and develop new skills in a safe and fun atmosphere! Each week closes out with an opportunity for dancers to show off what they’ve learned in a performance for family and friends! The committed and experienced dancer is invited to participate in our Pre-Professional Summer Intensive Program (ages 11-15). This full day camp includes conditioning, partnering, classes in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Aerial silks technique, as well as repertory and compositional work. Students will pay special attention to developing their technique and artistry as they learn from Hunter Dance Center’s resident professional dance company, Open Dance Project.
Hunter Dance Center provides exceptional dance training from the ground up for absolute beginners to experienced professionals! A love of dance and movement in all its forms is fostered by HDC’s stellar faculty of dance artists who offer creative classes for preschoolers, a rigorous pre-professional program for aspiring young dancers and open dance classes for teens and adults!
