Whether you have started the fishing family tradition or looking for a new pastime with family, Houston is one of the best cities for fishing of all kinds. Dock fishing, boat fishing, pond fishing, river fishing, deep sea fishing, you name it, we’ve got it!

If you are looking for some easy-access fishing to take your kiddos this summer, look no further! We have partnered with the local community and Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) to bring you the best easy-access fishing spots close to home.

Before we get started, we wanted to share a few tips on fishing, courtesy of TPWD.

  • Support the Sport. Buy a fishing license! Good for those 17 and older. The purchase supports angler education, fish stocking and habitat restoration.
  • Protect the fish. Use barbless or circle hooks. Play and land fish quickly.
  • Protect the fish habitat. Clean up and dispose of your trash. Give away or trash your unused bait.
